"Many of my paintings comprise of interstellar landscapes, where concrete forms intermingle with elusive space."

"I try to explore the way complimentary and contrasting colors create depth in a play of intertwining the foreground and background. I work in an additive and deductive manner, investigating how colors can pop out boldly, while at the same time be soothing to the eye.

I want the viewer to feel a sense of space, as I build and organize new environments, both physically around me, as well as psychologically and emotionally within me.

In a world increasingly dominated by technology, finding balance, where the machine can meet the ephemeral, is of importance. Some of my work reflects a macro/micro space journey, with machines venturing into unknown realms. The concrete container is as much a spaceship traveling through the galaxy, as it is our bodies holding space for our spirit/soul to exist and reside in this world of the material.

Nature is also important in my work, as is the notion of slowing down in this fast paced world. My work attempts to join attributes and qualities of an inner calm and of a contrasting fierceness; merging the two into one, as nature and the elements often do."
